Nick Taylor

Nick studied Social Psychology at Sussex University, graduating in 1994. He worked for a number of years in the voluntary and local authority sectors, working with vulnerable children and adults suffering from learning difficulties and mental health problems.

He completed an MA in Mental Health Studies in 1999 and his research interests were (and still are) Critical Perspectives on Psychiatric Practice and Cross Cultural and Transpersonal Psychology.

Nick already had considerable experience assisting vulnerable detainees at the Police Station as an Appropriate Adult when he joined Bishop and Light in 2005. Since then he has achieved his Police Station Advisor Accreditation and membership of the Law Society Mental Health Tribunal Representation Panel.

Nick's current workload combines Police Station Advice with Mental Health Tribunal Representation, reflecting his career long interests in liberty and the rights of Vulnerable people.

Outside of work he is a keen Scuba Diver, folk musician and in unguarded moments admits to being a Scotland football supporter.
