We are open about costs. We can usually deal with cases for an agreed fixed fee. Some sample fees are set out below. 

For more serious or complex cases we will need to assess the work likely to be required. We can then usually offer you a fixed fee, either for the whole case or broken down into stages.  

LEGAL AID

Mental Health Tribunal Cases - non means tested Legal Aid is available.
Criminal Cases - Legal Aid depends upon the nature of the allegation and the Court. Telephone us and we can carry out a check to see if you are eligible for legal aid.

Criminal Defence Fees, 
INCLUDING ROAD TRAFFIC CASES 

First Hearing, straightforward case, at any Magistrates Court in England and Wales

£600 + VAT

Exceptional hardship hearing (12 or more points on driving licence): £700 + VAT

Attendance at local Benefits Agency for interview about unlawful benefits claim: £500+VAT

Standard half day trial: £2,500 + VAT
Standard full day trial: £4,000 + VAT

Crown Court sentence: £1,500 + VAT

Fixed fees are on the basis of a straightforward, single hearing case. A higher fee may be quoted if the case is unduly complex, serious or likely to result in a pre-sentence report.
